According to the latest sales data of dynamo retail, the largest dealer cooperative in the Netherlands, the demand for electric bicycles continues. Compared with last year, the turnover of bicycles increased by 5.8% in April. For all product categories, the group reported an increase of 6.3%.
Dynamo Retail Group operates retail services and stores in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany and has about 800 affiliated distributors / members.
In April this year, the turnover of urban and hybrid electric bicycles increased by 7.3% compared with April 2019. In addition to electric bicycles, dynamo retail group also reported a surge in sales in the MTB and road racing categories. Bicycle gears also saw high sales, up 37.4% from April last year. As some bicycle shops in the Netherlands did not close during the shutdown period, the number of customers was the same as last April.
As of April, dynamo retail group's turnover also increased by 8.3% over 2019. In the first four months of this year, the turnover of urban electric bicycles increased by nearly 19%. Hybrid electric bicycles increased by 4.2%.
